Shiloh man charged after allegedly killing girlfriend’s dog with hammer
A Shiloh man faces felony charges after he is accused of beating his girlfriend’s dog to death with a hammer.
A Collinsville woman reported to police Monday that her boyfriend had killed her dog by beating it with a hammer. Collinsville Police officers found the dog’s body inside her house with obvious trauma consistent with being struck multiple times with a hammer, according to a police statement.
Kevin Brokaw, 40, of Shiloh has been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, a Class 4 felony.
Madison County Associate Judge Jennifer Hightower set bail at $50,000. He is currently in the custody of the Collinsville Police Department.
