Glen Carbon Little Caesars is robbed; it’s the second metro-east site robbed in less than a week
A man armed with a handgun robbed the Little Caesars at 3751 Illinois 159 in Glen Carbon on Sunday.
A Glen Carbon Police Department statement said the robbery occurred at 8:50 p.m. A heavyset black man described as between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-6 wearing a black and white coat, dark pants and a blue bandana around his face brandished a handgun and demanded cash. The cashier complied with the demand and the man ran from the store on foot.
No one was hurt in the robbery.

It’s the second robbery to occur at a Little Caesars in less than a week.
On Thursday, Collinsville police responded to the restaurant chain’s Collinsville Crossing location for a robbery report.
In that incident, a black male described as stocky and standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 displayed a revolver and demanded that the two employees on duty at the time hand over all the money in the cash register and the safe. The employees complied with the demand and the suspect left the area in a light colored SUV or minivan.
