Congratulations and thanks
Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.
Hooray for Father Tom Doyle, Dominican priest, for being one of the first to seek justice for survivors of sexual abuse by priests and accountability from the Catholic Church, the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) for first reporting on this tragedy and the Academy Award-winning movie “Spotlight” featuring the Boston Globe Reporters for bringing attention to this internationally.
Thanks to Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP) for your tireless efforts to bring perpetrators and the cover-up to accountability and justice.
Cardinal Pell of Australia is typical of the arrogance of the establishment in the Roman Catholic Church by publicly denying knowledge of the sexual abuse in his own diocese. Shame on Cardinal Pell.
And, Bishop Carlson of St. Louis — please — another attempt to subjugate women — the Girl Scouts. Get a life and clean out your own diocese.
Astonishing! But more of the same.
Anne Harter, Belleville
