Well, I got my baker’s dozen.
Last week I asked for nominations for a new food poll – doughnuts! – and readers came through.
Thanks for that. I’m glad so many people appreciate a good doughnut.
And despite not having had a doughnut myself in a long time, I once enjoyed them. A lot.
My favorite was always the custard-filled Long John topped with chocolate. That and the old fashioned. (The doughnut, not the cocktail. Although those are good too.)
Old-fashioned doughnuts are great with coffee (and I do love my coffee).
Great, now I really want a doughnut. And more coffee.
