Poll: Vote for your favorite southwestern Illinois restaurant that opened in 2022
So recently I shared with you, awesome readers, a list of restaurants that opened in our region in 2022.
(If you missed it, you can check it out at https://bit.ly/3HCiqDh.)
With all of the great new dining options available to us, I hope you already checked a bunch of them off your “Eat Here” list.
And if you have tried some of these places, now would be a great time to select the ones you like best. You can do that with our newest online restaurant poll.
I will say that some of the places included on this list might be viewed as not-so-new.
I’m thinking of Golden Dragon, which reopened under new ownership. And there’s Wasabi, which moved from Fairview Heights to O’Fallon.
Clara B’s Kitchen Table opened in February, then temporarily closed in December so they could move to bigger digs with plans to reopen in January. (Don’t be surprised if you see them again in next year’s end-of-year restaurant poll.) They still have an operating food truck.
Then there’s the Smithton Kountry Market. It’s not just a grocery store. It’s an all-in-one kind of place that includes serving full meals.
So, do these places belong in this poll?
Yes. Because I said so. (It’s my poll, after all.)
Now, scroll down to the poll and make your picks. This survey is not at all scientific. It’s all in good fun. Vote more than once by refreshing the page after each vote.
You can also share feedback by emailing newsroom@bnd.com.
Thank you for participating! This poll will be open through the first week in January.
Results will be reported after the poll closes, but keep an eye out for updates along the way.

Happy voting!
