America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company that focuses on “bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants,” is about to put one Pocahontas eatery on the map, according to a press release.

The Fainting Goat, located at 408 W. Johnson St., will soon be a stop for the America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow later this month.

On Wednesday, June 28, America’s Best Restaurants will film at the restaurant from 9 a.m. to noon, according to the release.

The episode will include an interview with owners Ashley and Ryan Driemeyer and highlight their “restaurant’s special place in the community,” stated the release.

Possible featured items may include The Fainting Goat’s most popular items, like the French dip sandwich and cheesesteak.

“Our wonton nachos are another very popular item,” Ashley Driemeyer stated in the release, adding that they’re served in a huge portion on a sheet pan. “They are amazing.”

The Driemeyers are passionate about food and making everyone feel welcome in their establishment.

“I would want people to know that we are ‘big city flavor’ with small town hospitality,” stated Ashley.

The episode will air at a later date on social media channels. The premiere air date will be announced on the America’s Best Restaurants Facebook page and featured on the website.
