The Chick-fil-A in Fairview Heights is closed. Here’s why and when it should reopen
People in the Fairview Heights area who regularly hit up Chick-fil-A at 6203 N. Illinois St. might be wondering what’s up?
The highly popular fast food restaurant recently “closed for renovations to improve the customer and Team Member experience,” wrote Chick-fil-A, Inc. spokesperson Gabriana Filice in an email to the BND.
“The remodel will include an expansion of the drive-thru to accommodate additional vehicles and canopies to best care for our Team Members and guests,” wrote Filice.
The email also stated that the project will include a redesign of the dining area and other enhancements.
The renovation will conclude this fall, barring any delays.
Calls to the restaurant lead to a recording about the closure and renovation. The message refers callers to follow social media sites for updates.
This temporary closure for remodel comes less than a month after the reopening of a Chick-fil-A location at 2532 Green Mount Commons in Belleville.
That location underwent a similar remodel through the month of June and reopened in early July.
The Fairview Heights Chick-fil-A location opened in August 2012, making it the city’s second location.
The first location was in the food court at St. Clair Square mall. It closed in 2015.
