Hi-Pointe Drive-In is ready to open its second metro-east location. Here’s what to know
Hi-Pointe Drive-In opens its newest location, and second in Illinois, this week.
At 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, the St. Louis-based burger joint will open its doors to provide the “all-natural, all-Angus smash burgers, sandwiches, shakes and mouthwatering, wild specials” the place is known for, according to a press release.
Customers will be able to get all of this at 6147 Trace Parkway Drive in Edwardsville.
Not far from the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus, the 3,500-square-foot restaurant will feature the same “cool, edgy aesthetic of the other locations with bold colors, a subtle nod to nostalgia, neon lights, eclectic decorative pieces” and a patio area, according to the release.
“We’re excited to bring the Hi-Pointe Drive-in energy to Southern Illinois,” co-owner Ben Hillman stated in the release. “Edwardsville is a great hospitality hub with a strong sense of community, and we are excited to offer a gathering place for folks to hang out and enjoy a quality burger and get hi on Hi-Pointe.”
For its grand opening, Hi-Pointe Edwardsville plans to donate part of the opening day’s sales to Metro East Humane Society, which will be on site with adoptable pets from 4-8 p.m.
Guests will be able to enjoy a menu of fun and creative burgers that includes items like:
Send Noods: double smash burger stacked on a ramen noodle patty with field greens on crab rangoon buns with a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce;
Belly Clarkson: double smash burger with fried pork belly, lettuce, tomato, smothered with bacon fat aioli on a potato bun;
Snoop Hoggy Dogg: all-beef Wagyu dog piled with pulled pork, mac and cheese, bacon bits and barbecue sauce.
Hi-Pointe Edwardsville is located at 6147 Trace Parkway and will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
