Don’t know what you want for dinner? This new Belleville restaurant can help
Most evenings at my house, the question gets asked: “Anything you want to do for dinner?” All too often, the reply is “I don’t know.”
That response now has a whole new meaning with the opening of a new Belleville restaurant.
I Don’t Know Restaurant & Grill, located at 4004 W. Main St., opened its doors on Monday and offers a mouth-watering selection of foods, from steak, fish and falafel to sandwiches, chicken and salads.
Owners Lma and Loai Noubani of Belleville acquired the property in October 2017, according to county property tax records.
The couple bought the property before COVID and didn’t rush to open. When the sign was recently installed, however, they decided they were finally ready to welcome customers.
I Don’t Know offers a varied menu of American, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare. Some of the options are on the healthier side, Lma said, adding that customers can mix and match different items.

There are a lot of food and beverage choices available, some of them with playful categories and names, such as “Couldn’t Make Up My Mind Baked Potato” and “Help Me Decide… House Made Frozen Coffee. Maybe Drizzle?”
As someone who can be indecisive about what I want for dinner, I enjoyed reading through the menu, mainly for the names.

Lma said that the lemonade is already becoming a favorite among customers. She said don’t tell the kids, but it’s sugar-free.
I should also mention that cookies and baklava are available.
About I Don’t Know
I Don’t Know is located at 4004 W. Main St. in Belleville. The building was originally a Taco Bell that operated from February 1977 until September 2004. Since then, it housed other businesses that included B&D Meat Market, Big Reggie’s Famous BBQ and The Sweet Tooth.
Hours at I Don’t Know are 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday-Saturday.
