Got meat? A pop-up market opens in Belleville, runs through the weekend
A pop-up meat market opened in Belleville on Wednesday and will operate through the weekend.
Prime House Direct’s pop-up market, marketed as Twin Spurs Farms, is set up in the Lowe’s parking lot at Green Mount Commons.
“We sell meat products,” said employee Gray Strickland. “Beef, chicken, seafood and everything in between.”
The Belleville pop-up is one of many that opened this week. Posts on the Twin Spurs Farms Facebook page shared locations that include Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, South Carolina and other states.
The markets take place from New Jersey to California, Strickland said, and come around two or three times a year.
This week, they’re in Belleville. Strickland said to keep an eye out because they could show up again nearby a week or two later.
Buying options include various cases for prime and choice beef, pork, chicken and seafood.
Strickland said he only buys his meats from the company, adding that the prime bundle has the best value.
The pop-up market is located at 2501 Green Mount Commons (in front of Lowe’s) in Belleville. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, Oct. 8-11, and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12.
Prime House Direct is a third-generation family owned and operated business based in Georgia, according to the website. Meats are sourced from family farms in the U.S., states the site.
