Madison County restaurant owners announce closing after three years in business
A restaurant at the Ironworks Plaza in Edwardsville will close this month.
Brick + Bramble owners Ryan and Laura High announced this week that the business’ last day will be May 24. The restaurant opened its doors in spring 2023, offering upscale eats and craft cocktails in a comfortable atmosphere.
Their announcement stated that the decision to close was difficult. Laura High declined an interview with the Belleville News-Democrat at this time.
“With the upcoming expiration of our lease, the timing feels right — even if it isn’t easy,” they wrote in the closure announcement. “This place became far more than a restaurant to us. It became a gathering place filled with celebrations, friendships, and memories.”
The Highs encouraged people in the community to support locally-owned restaurants and small businesses.
In addition to Brick + Bramble, Ryan and Laura High own two Global Brew Tap House locations. One is at 2329 Plum St., next door to Brick + Bramble, and the other is in O’Fallon at 455-B Regency Park.
They said in the announcement that Brick + Bramble gift cards will be redeemable at their Global Brew locations.
