St. Clair Square’s newest store caters to kids and adults who enjoy a nostalgic vibe
St. Clair Square welcomed a new — and fun — store on Oct. 31 with the opening of MINISO.
Located in a space previously occupied by Express, MINISO is filled with a wide selection of goods sporting familiar characters and themes ranging from Harry Potter and Peanuts to Strawberry Shortcake and Sanrio and many others.
MINISO has stuffed toys and figurines, backpacks, totes and purses, blankets and pillows, socks and slippers, accessories, beauty products, stationery, bento and lunch boxes, eating utensils, storage solutions, stuff for pets, snacks and beverages, and a whole lot more.
The shelves with neat rows of brightly colored products fill the store and will appeal to the younger generations. A Gen-X kid like me can see the appeal of it with collections featuring Hello Kitty (joy!), Snoopy and Care Bears (even if they have been redesigned since the ‘80s).
Good (Or dangerous?) info to have: Some collections and categories of merchandise are currently buy one, get one free.
I wonder if anyone can truly appreciate how difficult it was for me to not embark on an impromptu shopping spree.
But I’ll be back. Soon.
