Fairview Heights appliance, furniture store liquidating its inventory. Here’s an update
Last week I reported that American Freight’s parent company, Franchise Group, Inc., filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, which will result in the closing of all American Freight stores, including a location in Fairview Heights.
The American Freight store at 55 Ludwig Drive is currently remains open for now.
Signs on the door indicate that merchandise is currently 30% off, though staff there said on the phone it is operating on limited hours.
Hours listed on the location’s website are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. However, an employee said on the phone that,due to staffing and the ongoing liquidation, the store can only guarantee operating hours of noon to 5 p.m.
Closing sales for all locations and online began Nov. 5.
