Madison, St. Clair counties each report new coronavirus death
A total of 1,988 people in southwestern Illinois have tested positive for COVID-19 and 142 people have died, health officials reported Sunday.
St. Clair and Madison counties each reported one new death on Sunday. In St. Clair County, the patient was a man in 70s with underlying health conditions and in Madison County, the patient was a woman in her 90s with unknown underlying conditions.
