Belleville’s newest Burger King is set to open Sept. 6, the owner announced on the fast-food chain’s sign.

The location, at 5979 Belleville Crossing St., is owner Jason Amarosa’s second Burger King restaurant. The chain adds to the Target, Home Depot and several other restaurants that are already in the area. The new Burger King is expected to have a design different from the traditional look — with high ceilings, more photos on the walls and earth tone colors.

Eric Schauster, assistant director of the Economic Development, Planning and Zoning Department for the city, said in December 2016 that the new Burger King is expected to have $1.4 million in annual sales.

The restaurant will create 21 full-time jobs in its first year open, then double by the third year, Amarosa said in December.

Amarosa’s father also owned a Burger King, so he grew up making Whoppers standing on a pickle bucket.

“I know the ins and outs of Burger King,” Amarosa told the News-Democrat in December. “I’ve worked through the ranks: shift manager, assistant general manager, general manager, district manager, regional manager, director of operations, franchisee. I’ve held every position for an extended period of time.”
