Man who died behind Cahokia Walmart likely shot himself, police say
Cahokia Police said Wednesday that a man found Tuesday likely died of a self-inflicted gunshot.
The body of a 22-year-old man was found by Cahokia police in a vacant lot behind the Walmart on Camp Jackson Road.
Lt. Robert Pipkens said “all early indications” showed the man shot himself, but an autopsy and family notifications are still pending.
