Metro-east Sears store will stay open for now
Sears has announced yet more closings of its stores and of Kmarts, but the Sears at Saint Clair Square Mall in Fairview Heights is not on the cut list.
“We will continue to close some unprofitable stores as we transform our business model so that our physical store footprint and our digital capabilities match the needs and preferences of our members,” the company said in a statement shared on Fortune.com.
Sears Holdings closed the Kmart store in Belleville in mid-November.
