Police release description of woman whose remains were found in ditch near Trenton

Illinois State Police on Tuesday released a description of the woman whose remains were recently found in a ditch near Trenton.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying her as they investigate her death.

A news release from Illinois State Police described the woman as white, about 127 pounds and 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with four tattoos.

The agency said her tattoos include:

  • The word “Charity” on her right forearm.
  • A flower, bumblebee and the word “Charity” on her left forearm.

  • A “mermaid-like figure” on her upper left arm.

  • The word “Dallas” on her lower middle back.

She was wearing jean shorts with an “American Indian style pattern” and a Trolls doll T-shirt, according to authorities.

Illinois State Police announced Friday that it was investigating the woman’s death. The agency said her body was “in an advanced state of decomposition” when discovered in the ditch of the Illinois 160 on-ramp to westbound U.S. 50 near Trenton.

Results from an autopsy performed over the weekend were still pending Tuesday, according to state police.
