Belleville couple expanding their gourmet popcorn business with a store on North Belt West
The Perfect Pop Gourmet Popcorn, owned and operated by Stephanie and Eddie Williams of Belleville, continues to grow since taking off last year. To accommodate the ongoing success of their business, the couple is preparing to open a store location in August.
“I’m nervous. I’m excited. I can’t believe it,” said Stephanie Williams.
In October, the Williamses had talked about a shared goal of opening a brick-and-mortar shop.
Today, they are achieving that goal with a store located at 5112 North Belt West in Belleville, near the intersection at West Main Street.
The store’s grand opening is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 through Saturday, Aug. 14.
“I am so excited to be able to meet my customers,” said Stephanie Williams. Everything is “unfolding so perfectly.”
Since last year, when The Perfect Pop occupied a booth at the Belleville Old Town Farmers’ Market and a trailer at the Turkey Hill Grange, the business expanded by adding popcorn displays at the following locations:
Belleville Farmers Market, 500 N. Illinois St., Belleville
Belleville Farmers Market, 1901 N. Belt W., Belleville
Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, 6569 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights
Freeburg Country Mart, 369 Marketplace Drive, #4075, Freeburg
The Perfect Pop is also available at five Missouri Fresh Thyme Farmers Market locations at O’Fallon, South County, St. Peters, Ballwin and Kirkwood. A sixth will be added when the City Foundry STL opens later this year.
