Grocery store in Collinsville about to reopen after remodel and expansion project

Collinsville grocery store to reopen

An Aldi grocery store in Collinsville will again welcome shoppers starting Friday, Aug. 6., after undergoing a remodel as part of an initiative to remodel and innovate stores nationwide.

The store has been updated with an “improved layout and ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded fresh and convenience food selection. It also features open ceilings and natural lighting, and it is built with environmentally friendly materials,” according to a release issued for the company.

The Collinsville grocery store is not the first to be remodeled in the area. The Swansea location was remodeled and reopened in October 2020, and a store in O’Fallon was remodeled in November 2017.

Aldi is located at 1716 Vandalia St. in Collinsville. The store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
