Police find woman injured, unconscious on the side of St. Clair County road
A 30-year-old woman was airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital after being found injured and unconscious on the side of a St. Clair County road.
Deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 3000 block of Lickenbrach School Road in Lenzburg at 11:02 p.m. Friday. The St. Libory Fire Department and MedStar Ambulance also responded.
According to the sheriff’s department, the woman was traveling with a 32-year-old male in a 2003 Lincoln Navigator when they began to argue. She jumped from the moving car and fell on the roadway where she sustained some scrapes and an injury to her head.
Arch Air Rescue was requested by MedStar and arrived on the scene just before midnight and transported the victim to a regional hospital in St. Louis. Her injuries are not life-threatening, the release said.
The investigation is active and ongoing, according to the sheriff’s department.
