It has been more than a week since Joshua Amos’ family and friends have heard from him.

Britney Collins, a sister, said the family is desperate for answers. They want the Granite City man home with his family, including his two daughters that love him so much.

They are asking the public for help. The family is offering a $2,000 reward for information that leads them to Amos.

Amos, 32, has been missing since Sunday, March 19, after leaving a strip club in Washington Park. His mother, Christine Simpson, said his disappearance is unlike Amos.

He was seen on surveillance video leaving Scarlett’s strip club on Bunkum Road in Washington Park at 5 a.m. on March 19. Surveillance cameras from a trucking company on Lincoln Avenue in East St. Louis captured Amos’ image at 7:28 a.m. that day.

The two sites - the trucking company in East St. Louis and the club in Washington Park - are about four miles apart.

Amos’ family, friends, Illinois State Police and a search dog and his handler looked for Amos Friday in East St. Louis. The name of the group with the search dog is SAR K9 Co-op Inc.

Family and friends continue to search, as they have since he disappeared. Simpson said the family wants to believe Amos is alive and just hanging out with someone.

“We’ve been out everyday,” Simpson said Tuesday. “This is a mother’s biggest nightmare.”

The family is again appealing to the public for help in finding Amos.

“Please if you know something, say something,” said Simpson.

Amos was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans and black Adidas shoes when he disappeared. He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 190-195 pounds. He has tattoos on his chest, left and right biceps and lower arms.

His chest tattoos are of his daughters’ names, one beginning with a `B’ and the other beginning with an `M.’
