Three people who were shot and wounded Wednesday night in Cahokia Heights did not suffer life-threatening injuries, according to Police Maj. Tony Tomlinson.

Tomlinson provided an update on the case Saturday.

No arrests have been made, he said.

He did not release the names of the shooting victims, who were taken to St. Louis hospitals. He described them as two juveniles and an adult. One person was shot in the hand, another in the hip and a third person in the lower leg.

The shooting was reported around 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of St. Leo Drive in Cahokia Heights.

Someone in a vehicle fired at the three people as they stood along the roadway.
