Schnucks announces ground beef recall from Belleville store

Schnucks announced a recall Tuesday for the Schnucks brand 90/10 fresh lean ground beef produced and sold on Monday at its grocery store at 800 Carlyle Ave. in Belleville because the ground beef may contain plastic wrap.

“Customers who purchased the above product on July 29, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m. with a sell-by date of July 30, 2024 should return the product to the Carlyle Avenue Schnucks store for a full refund or exchange,” a news release stated.

“To date, there have been no reported illnesses or injuries, and this is an isolated incident that does not affect any other stores.”
