St. Clair County coroner IDs motorcyclist killed in two-vehicle crash
A 50-year-old motorcyclist from Troy lost his life in a collision with a car Sunday night in St. Clair County.
Darroll Clifford Lambert was identified as the deceased victim, St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr. said.
Lambert was pronounced deceased on the scene at 7:24 p.m. Sunday.
The crash occurred south of Troy on Scott Troy Road near the intersection of Old Lebanon Troy Road.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation into the two-vehicle crash.
Lt. James Hendricks of the sheriff’s department said deputies were dispatched to the accident scene at 6:12 p.m. Sunday.
At the scene, police located the victim’s black 1999 Honda motorcycle and a maroon 2015 Ford Mustang that a female, whose name was not released, had been driving.
Witnesses told police “several subjects on scene provided CPR to the motorcycle driver until first responders arrived,” Hendricks said.
“Sadly, the subject did not survive,” Hendricks said.
The Illinois State Police traffic crash reconstruction unit is assisting the sheriff’s department in the investigation.
