Funeral services set for metro-east woman who died after crash
Funeral services have been scheduled for an 83-year-old Highland woman who died following a two-vehicle crash in Highland.
Lynn G. Haller died Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, according to Shane P. Liley, chief investigator of the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
The crash occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Sunday on Veterans Honor Parkway at Michael Road, according to a news release from Highland Police Chief Carole Widman.
Other details about the crash have not been released and Highland police officers are working with the Metro East Crash Assistance Team to investigate the crash.
Widman said two others injured in the crash were taken to a hospital and one of them remained hospitalized Friday.
Haller’s obituary states she worked in the medical field after she earned her nursing degree in 1963.
Her survivors include her husband, Terry O. Haller, who she married on April 4, 1964.
“Their extraordinary bond began in Sunday School when they were just two years old and blossomed into a loving marriage that spanned more than 61 years,” according to the obituary.
“She embraced life with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure, traveling with Terry to all 50 states and 24 foreign countries,” her obituary states. “Many of these journeys were made in their beloved vintage Shasta Motorhome and 1948 Willys Jeep, which became symbols of their shared love for the open road.”
