IDOT announces upcoming road closure on North Belt West in Belleville
The Illinois Department of Transportation on Friday announced an upcoming road closure affecting Belleville drivers.
North Belt West between Ruth Street and West Washington Street near Skyview Drive-In will temporarily close to allow Norfolk Southern to rehabilitate a railroad crossing.
Weather permitting, the work will begin Monday, Oct. 20, and conclude Friday, Oct. 24, according to IDOT District 8. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic.
“Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area,” the agency stated in a news release.
