Woman, 34, killed in two-vehicle crash in St. Clair County

An East St. Louis woman died in a two-vehicle crash in Smithton Wednesday night, authorities said.
Estelle Stamps, 34, of the 600 block of South 42nd Street, was identified as the victim by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.
The crash occurred at about 10:22 p.m. on Illinois 159 just north of Douglas Road, according to a preliminary investigation by Illinois State Police.
Stamps was pronounced deceased at the scene, Dye said.
Another person suffered injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital, according to a state police news release.
No other information about the crash has been released.
