Route 50 between Lebanon and O’Fallon reopens after accident

A stretch of U.S. Route 50 between Lebanon and O’Fallon has been reopened Sunday after an accident led authorities to close it temporarily.

The highway was closed from Scott Troy Road in O’Fallon to State Route 4 in Lebanon, according to the St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency.

Motorists were advised Sunday morning the road would be closed for an “unknown amount of time,” Lebanon Police wrote in a post to social media.
