Flash flood warning issued for metro-east

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning Saturday night for St. Clair and Monroe counties after flash flooding was reported in Columbia.

Local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the region at 9:21 p.m.

The flash flood warning is due to expire at 1:15 a.m. Sunday.
