Tractor-trailer overturns at Illinois 15 and I-255 in Alorton

A tractor-trailer overturned late Wednesday morning while merging onto Interstate 255 in Alorton.

The crash occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The truck was westbound on Illinois 15, merging onto southbound I-255 when it overturned on the ramp.

A man with a bandaged arm was seen walking and talking with emergency crews, but it was not clear if he was the driver.

A MedStar ambulance also was at the crash but left without a patient.

The toppled tractor-trailer did not stop traffic.
