IDOT to have overnight lane restrictions along I-64 starting Tuesday
The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to reduce lanes of Interstate 64 in both directions during the overnight hours starting Tuesday, the agency said.
Lane restrictions are scheduled to be between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. along I-64 between Illinois 157 and Green Mount Road, IDOT said.
Crews are scheduled to place pavement markings along the interstate. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month, weather permitting, the agency said.
The work was scheduled earlier this month, but was delayed because the contractor had equipment issues, said IDOT Supervising Field Engineer Joseph Gasaway.
