Accident blocks traffic on Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights

At least two cars and a motorcycle were involved in a wreck Sunday afternoon on Lincoln Trail.

East and westbound traffic was stopped for several blocks before opening again about 4 p.m.

A silver Chevy sedan, blue GMC pickup truck and motorcycle were involved in the crash near the intersection of Catherine Drive. Witnesses say the motorcyclist was airlifted from the scene.

Additional details about the accident were not immediately available.
