▪ The EDGE in Belleville wants to begin offering a 4D theater.
The new theater, an indoor track for 14 electric-powered go-karts, bumper cars, four bowling lanes, a banquet room and 90 new parking spots would be included in The EDGE’s proposed $3.36 million expansion and remodeling of the current building.
▪ The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said last week it was seeking a “person of interest” who was seen on video outside a home that may have been burglarized.
The burglary was reported July 30 in the 800 block of South 29th Street in unincorporated Belleville.
▪ Renewing at a driver services facility now gets you a paper version of a driver’s license — the real one comes in mail in five to 15 business days. The new procedure is part of the state’s rollout of a plan to centrally issue driver’s licenses and state ID cards.
▪ Caseyville Township trustees on Thursday approved a resolution that authorizes their attorney to file a lawsuit in hopes of removing Township Supervisor Bruce Canty.
The move is the latest in the ongoing battle between Canty and trustees.
