Don’t want to mess with Art on the Square parking? Take a free shuttle instead

For those who want to check out Art on the Square without worrying about parking in downtown Belleville, a free shuttle service will be available through the weekend starting Friday afternoon.

The St. Clair County Transit District will provide transport from the Belleville MetroLink Station to the intersection of East Main and Jackson streets downtown. Shuttle service starts at 3 p.m. Friday with buses running every 20 minutes to and from the event.

The last shuttle leaves East Main and Jackson Friday evening at 9:20 p.m. Service resumes Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and runs every 20 minutes until 8:20 p.m. The shuttle runs every 20 minutes Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:20 p.m.

The Belleville MetroLink Station is located on Scheel Street in Belleville. A Park & Ride lot is available at 718 Scheel St. Visitors can also arrive at the station via the MetroLink or MetroBikeLink Trail and then take the shuttle to the event.
