O’Fallon boys tennis team takes first place at Edwardsville Invitational
The O’Fallon High School boys tennis team recently defeated Southwestern Conference foe Alton 9-0.

Singles
No. 1: Gavin Sohn of O’Fallon defeated Parker Mayhew of Alton 6-0, 6-0
No. 2: Kaden Vollmer of O’Fallon defeated Xavier Carter of Alton 6-0, 6-0
No. 3: Nic Strobel of O’Fallon defeated Luke Boyd of Alton 6-0, 6-0
No. 4: Cameron Woll of O’Fallon defeated Chance Linnefelser of Alton 6-0, 6-0
No. 5: Rowen Brunner of O’Fallon defeated James McKeever of Alton 6-1 , 6-3
No. 6: Ben VanAlstine of O’Fallon defeated Nathan Bartlett of Alton 6-3, 6-1
Doubles
No. 1: Kaden Vollmer and Nic Strobel of O’Fallon defeated Xavier Carter and Parker Mayhew of Alton 8-1
No. 2: Gavin Sohn and Ben VanAlstine of O’Fallon defeated Luke Boyd and James McKeever of Alton 8-1
No. 3: Cameron Woll and Rowen Brunner of O’Fallon defeated Victor Humphrey of Alton 8-0
Edwardsville Invitational
The Panthers followed that win with a strong first place finish in the Champions II Flight of the Edwardsville Invitational on Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2.
OTHS went 3-0 in the tournament and carried a 6-1 mark into action this week. The Panthers defeated Normal U-High 8-1, Metamora 8-1 and Triad 6-3.
“A special shout-out to Cameron Woll and Ben VanAlstine, who won all their singles and doubles matches in the tournament,” O’Fallon coach Erin Thoman said.
