Person of interest identified in armed robbery inside O’Fallon Schnucks
O’Fallon Police have a 48-year-old person of interest in the armed robbery of a bank inside the O’Fallon Schnucks on Thursday.
Daryl A. Smith “may have information regarding this investigation,” a news release stated. Smith has previously lived in East St. Louis, Cahokia and Swansea. Police said he does not have a current address on file with the St. Clair County Court.
Officers ask that anyone who knows where Smith is to call them at 624-4545 or call 911.
The 1st National Bank of Waterloo, inside the Schnucks grocery store on U.S. 50 in O’Fallon, was robbed at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Police initially were looking for a black man, 5-foot-10, who was wearing a short-sleeved black polo, light-colored pants, dark sunglasses and a black and white St. Louis Cardinals ball cap with a white striped flat bill.
