Cahokia teenager shot after an argument, police say

An 18-year old woman is in stable condition after she was shot Saturday in Cahokia, police say.

Cahokia Police Chief David Landmann said the teenager was shot outside a residence on St. Paul Drive after a brief argument. He did not say whether it was the victim’s residence.

The woman is at an area hospital, he said.

Landmann said the shooting was “domestic.” A person of interest has not been arrested.

Landmann said Cahokia police responded to the residence at 9:11 p.m. and remains under investigation.
