Belleville woman shot and killed in East St. Louis is identified
A Belleville woman died at an area hospital after she was shot in the 2900 block of Converse Avenue in East St. Louis Monday night.
The victim, Kelli Ferrell, 41, was identified by St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye, Sr. Ferrell was pronounced at 10:34 p.m. at Touchette Regional Hospital in Centreville.
Illinois State Police Sgt. Christopher Watson confirmed that East St. Louis police requested assistance from ISP Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 6 in reference to a female gunshot victim.
No other information has been released, pending ongoing investigation.
