Surveillance video shows Fairview Heights restaurant manager robbed at gunpoint

The Fairview Heights Police Department has released a surveillance video of a restaurant manager being robbed at gunpoint.

The manager at the Five Guys restaurant was forced to open the safe on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 2 before the restaurant opened and the two suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The video shows the suspects and the manager in a backroom where the safe is located. The manager was the only employee at the restaurant at the time of the robbery.

The suspects are described as Black males wearing black jackets and masks over their faces. They left the store through the back door and left in an unknown vehicle.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery in the restaurant at 6570 N. Illinois St.
