Woman shot in Cahokia, police investigating
A 30-year old woman was shot in Cahokia Tuesday night.
Cahokia Police Capt. Dennis Plew said few details about the incident could be released, pending the ongoing investigation.
“We were dispatched to the 800 block of Mildred Avenue to investigate a shooting. The victim was a 30-year old female,” he said.
The woman’s condition was not available. Plew said the victim is not a resident of Cahokia.
“Cahokia police are actively investigating the incident, “ Plew said.
