Man accused of shooting teenager multiple times in the front yard of a metro-east home
A man has been charged with murder in the death of a 17-year-old who was shot multiple times June 29 in Cahokia Heights.
Lamondre A. Wilson, 20, of Cahokia Heights, was arrested Tuesday, according to court records. He was charged by St. Clair County State’s Attorney James Gomric with murder with intent to kill or injure, according to a charging document.
Terrance Booker, 17, of the 1300 block of Julie Avenue, Cahokia Heights, was pronounced dead from multiple gunshot wounds at 6:09 a.m. June 29 in the front yard of a home in the 1300 block of Williams Street, according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.
The shooting was reported to Cahokia Heights Police Department at 5:19 a.m., according to an announcement from the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, which is assisting in the investigation.
Investigators identified Wilson as a “person of interest” soon after the shooting and issued a notice to the public for help in finding him.
Details of his arrest and other information about the shooting were not released.
