It’s difficult to reach this ‘extreme’ ranch for sale in Idaho — but it’s way worth it
It’s referred to as a luxurious fly-in wilderness retreat for a reason, and that is exactly what you think — it can’t be reached by just anyone.
Shepp Ranch is a 104-acre wild paradise that is surrounded by a creek, a river and other forms of water galore within the Nez Perce National Forest and is now listed for $8.9 million in Riggins, Idaho. While the place is rather large, it’s a bit tricky to reach and can only be accessed by plane, jet boat, foot or, yes, even horseback.
“The recently renovated and immaculately maintained main lodge, cabins, barn, shop, and generator house are sited above the confluence of Crooked Creek and the Salmon River overlooking the majestic river canyon,” the listing on Hall and Hall says.
Called “extreme” in a news release, the property is an outdoorsman’s dream with plenty of game to track and fish to pursue.
“A visit to Shepp Ranch is such a memorable and remarkable experience. It offers excitement, tranquility, and inspiration,” broker Trent Jones said in the ranch’s listing. “From white sandy beaches along the Salmon River to mountain lakes and snowcapped peaks within the Gospel Hump Wilderness, this is a place defined by its vastness and solitude where one can truly escape from the pressures of today’s world.”
Riggins is about 180 miles north of Boise.
