Why are you running?
We have made significant strides to clean up and stabilize the community by demolishing derelict houses and keeping the community safe. We have brought several new businesses to the community including the $60 million World Wide Technology Raceway and $34 million on new construction of affordable housing. There are several new projects that are coming to the city, and I would like to see them through. We would like to keep Madison moving forward that is why I am running.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
The top issue in this election is to continue the revitalization of the city of Madison in a positive direction by bringing in new construction with home ownership which will continue to stabilize our city. I will continue to actively pursue new businesses which will create more jobs and bring revenue into our city.
Why should people vote for you?
As a resident of the city of Madison for 52 years I have witnessed the up and downs of our community, and I know that my experience in the areas that I have served will continue to allow me to be the best mayor for Madison that I can be. I have served as mayor for 24 years, and my experience along with the multiple contacts that I have developed with state/federal and local officials has help me to meet the changing needs of the residents of the city of Madison, which will help to keep Madison moving forward in a positive direction.
