Why are you running? To continue serving the great citizens of Mascoutah. After 10 years on the City Council, I feel it is the next step in serving Mascoutah.

What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? Electricity, and how to provide for greater redundancy/reliablility and efficiency in our grid. We need to explore how to at least partially transition to renewable energy to diverify our power supply. Our electric Coop agreement expires in 2035, we need to be prepared for what’s next, in order to provide quality, reliable power to Mascoutah.

Why should people vote for you? I am dedicated to serving Mascoutah. I always make City Council decisions based on what is in the best interests of the City and the community. Just a few projects I’ve been heavily involved in are Homecoming, Springfest, Fallfest, and in Scheve Park and Maple Park, installation of several playgrounds, a Lions drinking fountain, a Disc Golf course, an upcoming new Splash Pad, new Pickleball courts, a Skate Park, installing memorial benches in the Parks, installation of the walking paths around Scheve Park, an Inclusive Spinner (merry go round) in the Kiddie playground, the Scheve Park flagpole project spearheaded by the Rotary and Noon Lions clubs and private donors, numerous fish fries, a new fence around the old Cemetery (Rotary Club) Installation of the Dog Park and fencing, including the small dog and training enclosures, and a current effort to organize a “Light up Scheve Park” event at Christmas time. I also serve in the Santa Hut each year. I am very proud of the volunteer spirit that Mascoutah is famous for. Ours is a wonderful community full of caring, hard working people that routinely go above and beyond to volunteer and support the community. Thank you to all our volunteers and thank you for your vote consideration!
