Please list highlights of your civic involvement: Since 2013, my work with the county has allowed me to work with the community to fund public safety, roads, physical and mental health and our parks. One of my more enjoyable duties is, as chair of the Park Enhancement Program, to provide grants to our communities and park districts. Visit any park in Madison County and you will see the tangible results of our work.
Who are your top three campaign contributors? Our campaign has been funded with small donations from family and friends.
Why are you running? I am running for Madison County Board because I have lived here all of my adult life and want to continue to help make it a place where my children would want to stay and live.
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it? My top issue is taxes. Since joining the county board in 2013, I have consistently voted for budgets that lower our property tax rate. I will continue to do so.
Why should people vote for you? I would ask that people vote for me because I share the same dreams as they do — having a nice county to live in and raise their families. I have a demonstrated voting record to help them achieve that.
