Free COVID-19 testing available at Belleville East, Hollywood Heights Fire Department

The St. Clair County Health Department and Illinois Department of Public Health are holding more free COVID-19 testing events this weekend.

Testing will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday at Belleville East High School. Appointments are not needed, and masks are required. Testing is available to the public for adults and children over 6 months of age.

Tests will be done by nasal swab. Individuals with or without symptoms can be tested. A valid phone number is required to receive test results, which may take up to a week to receive.

Belleville East High School is located at 2555 West Blvd. in Belleville.

The St. Clair County Health Department will hold an additional testing event Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Hollywood Heights Fire Department in Caseyville. Testing times are 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. This event is open to adults and children over 3 years old.

No appointment is needed. Masks are required. Photo ID is also required. Bring health insurance cards if available.

Testing will be done by throat swab by a medical professional. Individuals will be contacted by the St. Clair County Health Department when results are available.

Hollywood Heights Fire Department is located at 1218 Hollywood Heights Road in Caseyville.

The IDPH also offers free walk-up and drive-thru COVID-19 testing seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until they meet their capacity per day testing) at the Jackie Joyner Kersee Center in East St. Louis, Highway 64 West, exit 4A.
