POLL: Who, if anyone, do you root for in the National Football League?

It’s been seven long years — and counting —since the city of St. Louis had a National Football League team.

The Rams departed St. Louis following the 2015 season back to the bright lights and glitz of Los Angeles — the city they came from to St. Louis for the 1995 season. Adding insult to injury, the Rams — a league doormat their last several seasons in St. Louis — have turned into powerhouse, winning one Super Bowl while playing in another.

With that said, the void of not having an NFL team still can be felt in the region. Or can it? Do you miss the NFL? Do you still root for the Rams or have you adopted another team to follow? Or none at all?

The latest Belleville News-Democrat poll wants to know if you have a favorite NFL team, specifically choosing from the Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts. There also are choices for no team, the NFL is dead to me and another team not listed. The poll closes at 11:59 p.m. Thursday.

To be clear, this poll is not scientific. In fact, we invite you to vote as many times as you want. It’s all for fun, BND readers. We are planning to post the results later this week after the poll closes.
