The metro-east softball season continued with several games from Wednesday and Thursday.
Here is a quick view of some of the outcomes.
Belleville West 10, O’Fallon 8
The Maroons posted a two-run victory over the Panthers.
Belleville West improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Southwestern Conference. O’Fallon fell to 1-4, 0-1.
Aubrey Weaver led the way with 3 hits and 2 RBI. Emma Pees won the game pitching all 7 innings.

The Midgets coasted to a dominant victory over the Oilers.
Freeburg improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in the Mississippi Division of the Cahokia Conference. Wood River fell to 3-4, 0-2.
Briley Schmittling led the Midgets with 3 hits and 3 RBI while Samantha Roulanaitis added 4 hits and 2 RBI. Camey Adams had 1 hit for the Oilers.
Roulanaitis pitched 7 innings, allowing just 1 hit, to earn the win.

The Bulldogs dropped their first game of the season against Trico.
