Poll results: Here’s the top high school football play from Week 3 in southwest IL

BND readers had a chance to vote for the top football play of the week from the metro-east for Week 3.

Voting ended at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19.

Here were the choices:

  • Belleville East senior Moisey Trimble runs for a 61-yard touchdown vs. Metea Valley.
  • Belleville East senior Sonny McGill returns an interception 96 yards for a touchdown vs. Metea Valley.
  • Belleville East junior Keyshaun Peals notches an interception vs. Metea Valley.
  • Belleville East sophomore Keithen Jones runs for a 39-yard touchdown vs. Metea Valley.
  • Belleville East junior Jordan Pickett grabs a 33-yard touchdown reception vs. Metea Valley.
  • Belleville East junior Armon Vinson notches a 29-yard touchdown catch vs. Metea Valley.
  • Althoff junior Taylor Powell dishes out a huge it on a 4th down play vs. Mater Dei.
  • Althoff junior Braylon Grayson connects with sophomore Charleston Coldon for a 25-yard touchdown vs. Mater Dei.
  • Freeburg junior Avery Hesseldenz posts a kill.
  • Belleville West junior Landon McDowell connects with fellow junior Exavier Zeilman for a 1st down vs. DeKalb.
  • The Belleville West defense makes a stop vs. DeKalb.

And the winner is ... Vinson’s 29-yard touchdown catch vs. Metea Valley, which secured 56% of the votes.
